Preventing this Virus
First lets talk about prevention. As you know itís important to have an antivirus program in your machine. Itís also important to make sure itís updated regularly, this usually happens automatically . If itís not updated, then youíre no longer protected from new virusís. The only way to make sure youíre protected is to purchase a fully licensed antivirus software. But, thatís not all. All reputable antivirus products on the market offer regular updates on an annual subscription basis. This means that you must renew your updates subscription each year. Only then can you be sure that your computer is fully protected from Virusís. If you donít renew your updates subscription each year, youíll no longer be protected from new virusís. If you purchased your antivirus software and want to renew your updates youíll have to refer to the instructions that came with your particular antivirus software or visit their web site. The better antivirus programs will notify you when itís time to renew and provide you with a simple method to do so.
If youíre not sure that youíre using an updated fully licensed antivirus software please ask the person who installed it. If you didnít buy it or youíre not paying an annual fee for updates, youíre not using a fully licensed software and youíre at risk of getting virusís.
For your convenience, Iíve included some links on the left side of this page to the more popular antivirus software products available on the market. Under each link youíll find some useful information about each product to help you decide which one is best for you.
I can not stress this enough!
Copied, cracked or hacked antivirus software does not update correctly and does not protect you from new virusís, they just look like theyíre working. Do not use copied software they donít work 100% especially if you cracked them. The only sure protection is to use a fully licensed antivirus product that you purchased yourself.
